Safe etching using ‘BIG’ with Steph Renshaw

This 5 week course is suitable for beginners or those who have had some experience of etching before, this course is both an introduction to aluminium etching and a detailed exploration of the process.

We will be using BIG: Baldwin’s Ink Ground – if you have never used this before you will be amazed at its versatility! BIG is a newly developed, eco and health friendly alternative to traditional ground which offers up an exciting world of new possibilities in etching

Steph  will demystify the etching process and help you navigate the many ways to use this medium to create wonderfully atmospheric prints from aluminium plates.

You will make beautiful looking printing plates full of subtle texture and tone, which as well as creating gorgeous prints, are works of art in themselves.
