5 week evening* online Bookmaking with Guy Begbie

£200

Thurs 3 March- 31 March 2022

6pm-9pm

£200

A series of 5 singular binding structures that demonstrate innovative approaches to presenting three dimensional, diptych pairing and non-linear narrative configurations.

We are really pleased to run an evening bookmaking course with the inimitable Guy Begbie.

In class sessions 1 & 2, the  Sculptural Softback Tower Book & the Architectural Concertina Hardback Binding,  both structures explore the book as a container of architectural space and sculptural forms.

The Dos-à-dos (back to back) pamphlet binding, potentially pairs two narratives separately but both within one cover.

Two further quarter and half bound hardback books in class sessions 4 & 5 have patterned and decorative two and three section exposed spine sewings. These books both have varying page configurations with potential to contain non linear narrative.
