Riso Riot Workshop – 2 day workshop

Immerse yourself in a beautiful, crazy world of riso printing for 2 days. Risograph is a method of printing using a stencil printer machine which originates in Japan.  It is popular with artists and designers across Europe, allowing them to work with digital and non-digital imagery to make dramatic and colourful images. The machine may fool you into thinking it is a mere office photocopier bit it’s been repurposed by artists and you will create striking, colourful prints with a particular charm.

In this workshop artist Jess Bugler will introduce the principles of Risograph printing and some experimental approaches to the process allowing participants to create their own series of dynamic multi-colour prints.

Spike Print Studio is a partner with the Centre for Fine Print Research for the international printmaking conference Impact 12, which is taking place in Bristol 21-25 September. We are running these lead-in workshops for the conference.
