Spike Print Studio Mobile Print Project November update

Amy Hutchings and Anna Haydock-Wilson  continue to deliver a far reaching community project.  We were awarded a Originators Funding by Bristol City Council City Arts Team to continue offering printmaking workshops to vulnerable communities across Bristol.

As with our Home Print Project this fund will enables us to support arts activities for young carers and refugee groups and families. These activities are running  in partnership with Carers Support Centre, Borderlands, Refugee Women of Bristol, Imayla and other organisations supporting people in need.

Anna & Amy have cycled quality print making materials into community settings and are delivering tailor made workshops in a variety of printmaking techniques. Here are a  few images from their latest session yesterday  at the Refugee Festival AGM Greenway Centre, Southmead.

upcoming dates confirmed are:
  • 13th November St Anne’s refugee group in partnership with Wick Road Library, Friends of St Anne’s Park, Bricks and Jo Bushell
  • 16th November Refugee Women of Bristol 11-1pm & Borderlands in afternoon
  • 11th December with Imayla at Boiling Wells (St Werburghs)
Then in 2022:
  • 6 Young Carers  sessions
  • Window Wonderland creations with Imayla at St Paul’s Learning Centre (February TBC)
