Pirrip Press at Newlyn Fish Festival

We wanted to let you know about the two limited edition prints we’ve produced for the 2014 Newlyn Fish Festival.

The first print is a two colour tour of the sights of Newlyn – we enjoyed sitting down and making lists of all the buildings around the town: Spot the Lovell’s broccoli & bean, the Mission’s clock-top, and the shadows on the ice tower. Top marks to anyone who identifies them all first go! The second print is a montage of imagery inspired by the sea and the Fisherman that work out of Newyln. We liked exploring the patterns and shapes of fish and sea and making the Fisherman’s Sou’Wester just that spot on shade of yellow. 

Both the posters are silkscreen printed by hand in two colours, and they’re in a limited edition of just 100 each. 

We sold out of all the 2012 and the majority of the 2013 prints, so we’re really hoping to match that this year! The prints cost £10 each, and £2 per print goes directly to the Festival Committee to distribute to charity, so you’ll be donating to a good cause AND getting something handsome for your wall.

We’ll be selling them from our stand on the North Pier come Festival day, so we hope to see lots of friendly faces there. If you want to make sure you get this year’s print, you can reserve one through our website to collect on the day, or, if you can’t make it to the festival but will be there in spirit, you can opt for your print to be delivered to you.
