OPEN WEEKEND SAT 4 – MON 6 MAY
The Open weekend is a great opportunity to see what we do! Selected members’ work will be exhibited alongside the work of our 2012 Lark Trust Bursary Award artist, John Lynch. He will guide you through his work in progress with forensic precision. You will be able to buy framed & unframed work, artist books, cards and other items.
You can print your own print for £1 with Jo & Georgina Hounsome, Simon Tozer, Jess Townsend and Alex Higlett on either
Saturday 4 May between 1-3 or
Sunday 5 May between 11-1. (Crowd control may have to be applied as it is ridiculously popular).
from 12-1.30 on Monday 6 May Christine Howes MA will give a relief printing demo. Relief prints are linocuts and woodcuts. Chris will be demonstrating on the Gem Press at Spike Print Studio on the first floor. Take away a wet proof for a pound.
We will be selling raffle tickets for £1 to raise money to improve our studio equipment for classes, members and studio users. Prizes include a framed print by Clare Cutts worth £495, an amazing goody bag of printed items from Georgina Hounsome & Alex Higlett, unframed prints from Simon Tozer, Sharon Bishop and other studio artists and £50 Spike Print Studio voucher.
