Whatever the weather, we Make.
Artists are a stubborn bunch. The bit constantly between our teeth, we’re always among the first to adapt to new circumstances, whether positive or challenging. Although it could be argued that artists work best in times of adversity we all gain massively from the support and nurture of fellow artists and arts organisations who help facilitate our making, and provide a constant flow of inspiration.
Spike Print Studio is an arts organisation missing its artists! The life and soul of this place are our members and course participants who make the building a thriving hubbub of creativity. As the organisation staff, we’re also all practising artists finding new ways to traverse this new terrain, and missing the shared camaraderie and resource of fellow makers.
We’re looking forward to welcoming people back into the studio. It’s going to take a little time, and some adapting to new systems and working practices. In the meantime – like all of you – we haven’t stopped making. We’re artists, after all. And artists are a stubborn bunch. Artists make.
