A comprehensive introduction to Photopolymer, an acid free technique, which enables artists to realise an exquisite range of rich and velvety tones and detail in a plate. This method uses steel plates with a light sensitive coating. You will be shown how to make a plate using a film positive, ultraviolet light and water to develop the image. These plates are then printed in the same way as an etching plate through a printing press. Images can be used from digital cameras, as well as mobile phones.

You can transform your drawings and digital images into something new and learn how to output and expose digital positives using Photoshop. When etched, these low toxic plates print in beautiful fine detail and rich blacks.
