TAKUHON – 1 day workshop with Jess Bugler

£95

Monday 5 August 2024

10am-4pm

Takuhon

This workshop with Jess Bugler offers students the chance to try the ancient Japanese art of Takuhon, the original 3D print.
Takuhon was originally used to record carved religious inscriptions without damaging the surface.
Objects that would be impossible to put through the press are easy to print with Takuhon. Participants will learn how to make Tampo pads and then create 3D prints of a series of objects using fine Japanese paper and delicately dabbed Sumi ink

Led by Artist and Printmaker Jess Bugler.  See more of her work here.
