Jacqui Symons – Slow Lane Studio
Slow Lane Studio forages, cultivates and uses plants to create natural colour for textiles, paper, printmaking and pigments.
In this talk Jacqui Symons, founder of Slow Lane Studio, will discuss her forensic approach to researching and using plant-based colour in her practice, how she got started and her strategy for continued development towards a further sustainable and circular methodology.
Her work is currently focused on research into achieving a wide spectrum of natural colours, defining best practice and developing methods to consistently achieve good results in a variety of printmaking techniques.
