5 week Advanced Guide to Textile Design & Printing – Anne Haworth

£225

Tuesday 7 June   – 5 July 2022

1.30pm-4.30pm

This course is designed to further your own practice and gain more of an understanding of the textile design process. You will take images you have created and produce designs that you can experiment with as well as making into repeat patterns.  You will be introduced to printing with dyes and using different stencil methods to create surface decoration including photo stencil.
You will create fabrics that you can use to make small products as well as a starting point for a stitching or quilting project or to create fabric samples for a portfolio.
Anne Haworth trained as a textile designer with a specific interest in relief printing. She creates monotypes, collographs, cardcuts, woodcuts and linocuts on paper and also transfers them into screen prints on cloth. Anne creates bold, playful images that reflect her love of surface pattern and design. She produces items such as handbags, cushion covers, tea cosy’s, hats, tea towels and aprons and has her own label, ‘curious cloth’. She is a tutor at the Gloucestershire Print Cooperative in Stroud.
