Gail is an expert in monotypes. She will show you how to produce a unique print, with painterly effects using a substrate such as a sheet of plastic and image transfer and oil based inks. You will learn how to manipulate the ink using the tools and materials in a very fluid way. A monotype often leaves a ghost impression on the substrate and Gail will show you how you can use that to great effect.
Tracey Emin uses monotype with passion and effect, as did Degas.
