Looking back at 2015
2015 has been another jam packed year full of exhibitions, events and members’ achievements.
Importantly, Print Club Bristol was launched to great success. The night was supported by Smithson Gallery with guest speaker Paul Laidler.
Later in the year, Print Club Bristol hosted a fantastic workshop by Master Ukiyoe woodblock carver, Motoharu Asaka.
Aoife Barrett completed her Peter Reddick Bursary Award at SPS with a stunning exhibition What You Have Done.
SPS welcomed in the new Bursary recipient Demi insall. Watch this space for a forthcoming post about Demi.
In the summer, the studio had Liz Miller come and do a residency. Liz had been awarded the SPS studio award for her print at the National Original Print Exhibition in London.
Emma Gregory had a brilliant solo show at The Victoria Gallery and Museum.
SPS member Ros Ford was the winner of the Teresa Knowles Travel Bursary, in the RWA Drawn exhibition.
Petra Regent was awarded the Royal Academy British Institution prize for her Photogravure print, LAMP, SPIEGELZAAL, BERLIN at the RA Summer show.
Jane Ormes published her beautiful children’s book, Little Honey Bee.
SPS editioned Lovers 2 by Sick Boy for The Other Art Fair at the Arnolfini.
The studio also editioned a screenprint by Patrick Staff for The Foundation Exhibition at Spike Island.
As well as a 4 colour separation of Piet Oudolf’s Garden, Bruton for Hauser & Wirth Somerset.
