PRINT AND PROCESS: BRITTANY EXPOSED by Liz Bird
6th – 27th February 2016
Private View – Friday 5th February
Open 10am – 5pm Monday to Saturday.
The Grant Bradley Gallery, Bedminster Parade
SPS member, Liz Bird, has a solo exhibition in the large gallery at the Grant Bradley Gallery Bedminster Parade [East Street next to Asda] where she is showing over thirty works completed in the last ten years, demonstrating a range of print making techniques.
I have been a printmaker for about ten years, since my retirement from the University of Bristol where I taught film and cultural theory. The work dates from 2006 and has been selected with a single purpose: to use my various prints on Breton topics to illustrate a full range of print techniques and to demonstrate these by also exhibiting plates or preparatory work. I work from my sketchbooks and make use of photographs for photoprocesses, such as screenprint, photogravure and cyanotype.
Liz will be running drop in sessions from 1-2pm on Saturday 20 and 27 February, all welcome at any time.
